SSI Prevention (Surgical Site Infection):
How is Humber River Regional Hospital doing?

Introduction:

Humber River Regional Hospital is dedicated to delivering the highest possible quality of care to our patients safely and effectively. One way we do that is by tracking the rate of SSI (Surgical Site Infection) among some patients who have had hip or knee replacement surgery. By remaining vigilant, we are determined to keep surgical site infections as low as possible.

At Humber River Regional Hospital, we have a team dedicated to this effort in partnership with the Safer Healthcare Now! program. Keeping you informed on how we are doing in this area is part of our commitment to a being a patient and family centered hospital.
