New Hospital Request For Qualifications Issued: Time To Pick A Contractor!

On Thursday, May 27th Humber River Regional Hospital and Infrastructure Ontario released a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to design, build, finance and maintain our new acute care hospital. The RFQ will help us select those companies capable of delivering such a complex project. Only the pre-qualified builders get to bid on the construction project itself. Our new facility will be lean, green and digital, leveraging the latest technology to improve safety, reliability, accuracy and efficiency. It will incorporate hardware and software renewal strategies to ensure that the new hospital is always on the cutting edge of the latest developments in healthcare technology. It will use that technology and efficiency of design to be a patient, family and community-friendly showcase hospital

When it opens our new hospital will have 656 beds, 3,300 staff and approximately 600 physicians. It will enable Humber River to provide an even more comprehensive range of services to support inpatient and outpatient hospital programs to our patients and community.
