Borrowing Services
All patients, family members, visitors, staff and students may borrow materials after registering with the Health Resource Centre. Photo ID with name and valid address is required to confirm registration. The usual loan period for books is two weeks and seven days for audiovisual materials. If the centre is closed, you may return the items to the Drop Box located outside each Health Resource Centre. Search through the catalogue now.

Loan Period:

• Books - two weeks
• Models - one week
• Posters - one week
• Video and audiotapes - one week

Information and Reference Services
At the Health Resource Centre, you have access to professionally trained staff that will help you find up-to-date and reliable information about health and medical issues, such as:

• Specific diseases and conditions
• Medical and surgical tests and procedures
• Prescription drugs or treatments
• Local support groups
• Finding a family doctor or specialist

Educational Services
Health Resource Centre staff can provide training to our clients on how to find and evaluate health information from the web and how to use any of the resources from our collection. Please call us if you would like to book a training session.
